Future Park & Facility Projects
SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
Fourteen years ago, voters approved an improvement and funding plan to build the Pleasant Hill Community Center, Senior Center, and Teen Center, and renovate Pleasant Oaks Park. The result: all four facility renovations were completed on time and within budget. Today, these beautiful community facilities serve hundreds of local seniors, youth, teens, and families every day.
INVESTING IN FUTURE FACILITIES & PARKS
To continue to serve the recreational needs of our community, Pleasant Hill & Park District is in the process of evaluating the investments required to improve parks, and build and repurpose old facilities including the Old School House, Winslow Center, and our 70-year-old Pleasant Hill community pool.
YOUR OPINION MATTERS
To continue our legacy of results-driven improvement plans, we want to know YOUR priorities, input, and feedback to help shape the future of our local parks and facilities.
We recently distributed a short survey questionnaire to community residents to help prioritize the “next phase” of improvements to our local parks and recreation facilities. To date, over 1,000 people have responded and more responses coming in daily. Some people thanked us for the opportunity to provide input and others felt the questionnaire needed more options or background information. We also learned that while not everyone shared the same opinions about priority projects, most agreed that improvements were needed to improve our park and recreation facilities.
NEXT STEPS
Before we move forward on any plans for future parks and facilities, we need more input from the community on each of the improvement projects. We are going to hold five active “Listening Sessions“ during October 2023 to explore improvement options and gather more in-depth feedback specific to projects. All are welcome to attend each session. RSVP is optional but appreciated. FREE and open to the public.
