To register for classes and activities, all users must create an account in our
registration system.

Registration is payable by check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Customer checks returned from bank for any reason are subject to a $15 return fee.

Fee Wavier Assistance:

The District grants a limited number of fee waivers to assist resident families in need of financial assistance for access to our recreation programs.See the list below for the guidelines and application for requesting help. 

Registration Policies

NEW! PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR DISTRICT RESIDENTS

Effective December 2024, Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District (District) residents not only receive discounts on classes and activities but now benefit from a new priority registration system. This new priority system allows District residents to register two days earlier than non-residents, providing a significant advantage for popular classes and camps. These benefits for District residents are our way to acknowledge local taxpayers whose property taxes support our parks, open spaces, and community facilities. 

Unsure if you qualify as a District Resident? If your address includes the 94523 zip code, you are a District Resident. Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District also extends beyond the city limits, covering unincorporated areas of Lafayette and Walnut Creek. 

To verify your eligibility, please check your property tax statement or contact our District Administrative Office at (925) 682-0896.

Additional Registration Policies

• Please note: Some classes may have different registration processes. Some classes listed as "drop-in only" cannot be registered for in advance. Some sports courses require a packet to be completed prior to registration. Classes will notate these special circumstances. Please call us if you have any questions at 925-682-0896.
  
• When enrollment is low, Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District reserves the right to cancel the class/activity.
• If you register by mail for a class that has reached maximum enrollment, you will be notified and your check will be returned.

• Pre-registration is often required for classes and events. Please check online catalog or The Spotlight recreation guide for requirements.
• See class listings for exceptions to registration and class dates.
• Most classes and programs will not be held on observed District holidays including New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Holiday observance dates vary from year to year. Please check District calendar for holidays. To determine if a program is offered on an observed holiday, please refer to program listing in catalog or online. 
• Photographs and video may be taken during district activities and classes. By participating, you agree that these photographs and video may be used for Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District publicity purposes.
