Current Students & Siblings:
Early registration for current students and their siblings as well as siblings of past students opens March 2-6, 2026. Contact Preschool Director, Sarah Smith for availability.
New Families:
Registration will open online to NEW District Resident families on April 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and April 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for NEW Non-District resident families.
Open house: Open houses will be held at our C.C. (Community Center), 320 Civic Drive and our W.C. (Winslow Center), 2590 Pleasant Hill Road in February. Please see schedule below.

Thank you for stopping by to learn about the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District’s school-year preschool program.
Pleasant Hill Recreation Preschool has been providing learning to grow on since 1973. We nurture each child, planting strong roots in self-confidence, creativity, and academics. Our preschool programs establish the foundation for their future education.
We are a part-time recreational preschool program that is exempt from licensure. As a "Quality Matters" site we are committed to ongoing professional development for our teachers, low ratios, and developmentally appropriate practice. We are an inclusive preschool serving children of all abilities, backgrounds, and needs. We partner with Help Me Grow, The Regional Center, First 5, and Robert Shearer Preschool to ensure every child and family has the support they need to thrive.
Registration Requirements:
- $200 per family non-refundable annual registration fee
- First month's tuition
- Copy of birth certificate and immunizations
- Current P.G.E. bill for PHREC residents only

What can you do to get your child ready for preschool?
- Work on separation, plan some date nights, classes etc. so your child can learn that grown-ups come back.
- Encourage your child to learn how to open and eat their food independently.
- Teach your child to put on/off their clothes and shoes.
- Teach your child to clean up after themselves.
- Model good manners and behavior.
- Work on following directions and taking turns.
