Why write our checks to the PH Community Foundation for the District’s Capital Campaign rather than directly to the District?

The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation, which holds nonprofit 501(c) 3 status, is the fiscal agent for the campaign.  This arrangement allows you to deduct your gift to the campaign from your Federal and State taxes.

What’s the maximum time I can take to pay my pledge in full?

Pledge payments may be made over a five-year period.  The first pledge payment of one fifth of the total pledge must accompany all pledges made in 2012.  Four equal payments may then be made in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

How can I make a bequest to the campaign?

Bequests to the campaign will be gratefully accepted.  A representative from the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation will work with you personally to set up your bequest.  Please call the District office at 925-682-0896 for more information. You can also learn more about this option by clicking here

How can I donate stock to the campaign?

Donations to the campaign of stock will be gratefully accepted.  Please call the District office at 925-682-0896 for more information.  You can also learn more about this option by clicking here.

Can I use a credit card for my contribution?

Absolutely.  You can use Visa or MasterCard.  Credit card companies do charge the District a small fee for credit card contributions.  This fee is paid as a percentage of your contribution, and does diminish the value of your gift slightly.  However, gifts to the campaign can be made using your credit card and we are very happy to receive them!  Click here or on the Make a Gift button at the top of this page, or call 925-682-0896 to donate by phone.

I’d like to purchase an item, like a clock, for the Senior Center.  Can I do this?

Yes, Purchase Opportunities are available at this time for the Senior Center or for the Teen Center.  There are a myriad of items from which to choose.  However, Purchase Opportunity gifts are unrestricted, as item descriptions, features and costs may change right up until they are ordered.  Click for a list of Purchase Opportunities available for the Senior Center or Teen Center.

I’d like to donate gently used furniture and equipment to the Senior Center and to the Teen Center.  Is this possible?

The intent is for the new buildings to open with new furnishings and equipment that will last in many cases for the life of the buildings.  So, at this time we are not accepting used furniture and equipment for the new facilities.

What is the minimum pledge donation?

The minimum pledge to the campaign is $500.  Your pledge may be paid over the next five years.  Your first pledge payment must accompany your pledge. Our preference, however, is outright cash gifts.  Pledged gifts will require short-term financing until they are paid, since we need the funds now to order furnishings.  Pledges also will require billing and tracking five years into the future, and that is not part of permanent staff work.  Both of those factors slightly diminish the amount of the pledge that is available for furnishings.

What can I write on my brick?

The bricks you purchase will be inscribed with your name, the name of someone special to you or the name of your company.  There are three rows of 20 boxes available on each brick for your message.  Please fill in one character or space per square.  All messages will be subject to approval.  Click here for a brick order form.

Whom can I call for more information?
