Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District
Capital Campaign

The Capital Campaign Kicks Off!

Local history was made when you, the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District residents, voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bond measure to build the new Senior Center, Teen Center, Community Center, and to make park improvements.

Furnishing and equipping each of these beautiful new buildings is beyond the scope of the bond.  So, we’ve launched a $1.8 million capital campaign to purchase the furnishings and equipment necessary to enhance the District’s multitude of programs and events for many years.

The Senior Center and Teen Center are under construction.  Furnishings for each of these facilities must be ordered this Spring, about six months before they are scheduled to open.  With recent budget adjustments, the cost will be $907,065 to outfit these first two buildings. We need your help now in reaching this goal -- we have $655,924 left to raise.

To allow as many people to participate in the campaign as possible, gifts of $500 or higher may be pledged over five years. Names of donors giving $500 and up will be inscribed on a permanent donor wall in one or more of the new facilities.

The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation has graciously agreed to be fiscal sponsor of the campaign to assure the tax deductibility of your gift.  This means that all gifts, checks and pledge payments must be made payable to the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation, with a notation that it is designated for the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District (PHR&PD) Capital Campaign.

Please take a look at our campaign brochure.  It describes the ways in which you can make a gift to the Campaign for the Senior Center and Teen Center.  Gift possibilities include Naming Opportunities, Purchase Opportunities for specific furnishings or equipment, and purchasing an inscribed brick for the Senior Center walkway.
