Thanks to Tom and Ruby MacDonald, owners of three Pleasant Hill retirement communities (The Chateau Pleasant Hll, Chateau II, and Chateau III), plans have been drawn up, and a committee has been formed to find a way to fund and build a new, larger, up-to-date center to serve the growing needs of Pleasant Hill Seniors

If all goes as planned, the new Pleasant Hill Senior Center will:

  • Be built on the same site as the existing center (at the rear of the property)
  • Allow construction to occur while the existing center continues to operate
  • Consolidate activities from four buildings into one

If funded, the new facility will include:

  • A dining room and large meeting room that can double as a second dining room (capacity, 250 persons)
  • Exercise room
  • Rooms for classes, activiteis, computer labs, and meetings
  • Large outdoor deck with a view of the natural setting of Pleasant Hill Park

There will be more parking and more space for the welcoming, friendly people and the unique programs at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center.

How You Can Help us with a New Pleasant Hill Senior Center

1. Vist the Senior Center

See for yourself the numerous programs going on here every single week. You'll be astonished at the variety and scope of services and activities offered – all in very limited facilities that are badly in need of an update.

2. Talk About it!

Tell your friends, neighbors, family, acquaintances, barber, grocer, doctor, about the valuable programs offered at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center and the need for a new facility!
