Highest point earner each month wins a prize package on us! Remember, you must use the hashtag #phplaychallenge and allow public viewing on your post in order to get "credit". Winners will be announced on our social media sites:

1. Get fit at Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District (PHRPD) parks5 points
Take your workout to the Parks!
Show us how you use nature to get your fitness on. How can you use a bench or tree to workout? One workout per day.

2. Best park staff ever! 10 points
Take a picture with a Park Maintenance worker, but get their permission first! You are encouraged to do this many times, as long as it's different staff members. 

3. Hiking PH! 5 points
Get out on the trails and take a hike! A hike of any length will do! Just get off the sidewalks and into wilderness! Try Dinosaur Hill Park or Paso Nogal Park for some spectacular views!

4. Put the pedal to the park! 5points
Ride your bike to a park! Snap a photo of you with your bike at one of our parks and don’t forget your helmet!  Do this at multiple park locations

5. Play in a Safe Place 5 points
Photograph a child playing outdoors in any PHRPD park. Don't have a child? Invite your friends and neighbors who have them!

6. Who let the dogs out?! 5 points
Visit Paso Nogal Park! Snap a photo of your four-legged friend playing at the dog park.

7. Here Comes the Sun 10 points
Everyone knows that the view at Dinosaur Hill Park is majestic, let’s see your photo at sunrise, or if you’re not an early riser, take one at sunset.

8. Make a splash at PH Aquatic Park 5 points
Submit a picture of you or a family member swimming at the pool, jumping off the diving board or enjoying the sprayground.

9. Learn from your past! 5 points
Photograph someone learning at Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center.

10. Plant a Seed 10 points
Snap a pic of a child tending the community garden at Pleasant Hill Park! For garden renters only. 

11. Tree Hugger! 5 points
Trees give us oxygen, how cool is that!? Say thanks by giving one a nice big hug!

12. Go Fly a Kite! 10 points
Submit a picture of someone flying a kite at a PHRPD Park.

13. Squirrel! 5 points
Snap a photo of a squirrel. It's got to be free ranging, so shoot quick! And make sure it is in a PHRPD Park!

14. Don’t get off my lawn! 5 points
Lay on the grass at a PHRPD park. How easy is that!?

15. On your marks, get set, GO! 10 points
Take a video of two (or more) people racing! It can be just a short sprint down a paved path, or running on a soccer field, but make sure you are at a PHRPD park!

16. Rain Dance! 10 points
We rely on rain to help keep things green at our parks. Take a picture or video of you or a friend doing a thankful dance on a rainy day in any one of our parks!

17. Have a Heart 5 points
Find something in nature at a PHRPD parkthat resembles a heart!

18. Parks Make Life Better!  How? 10 points
Take a video on how Parks Make Your Life Better! The video Challenge must contain 3 points: (1) Why you love PH Parks, (2) Which park is your favorite and (3) What is your favorite thing to do there. Video must be recorded at your favorite PHRPD park.

19. Picnic in a Park 5 points
Lay a blanket down in any one of our PHRPD parks and have a healthy picnic with your friends/family.  Or enjoy a gathering in one of our designated group picnic areas (check for prior reservations or make one for your own). 

20. Namaste right here! 5 points
Close your eyes, relax, feel the nature and find your Zen while doing a yoga pose in any one of our PHRPD parks. One pose per day.

21. Unwind your mind 5 points
Take some time to reflect, and find inner peace with a walk around the labyrinth at Brookwood Park. Flash the peace sign for double points.

22. Where did you go?! 5 points
Capture anyone wearing camouflage in a Pleasant Hill Park!

23. Slide into fun 10 points
Use the boomerang app to record a video of someone you know enjoying the slide at a PHRPD Park.

24. Walk with your Elders10 points
Whether they are your grandparents, friends or neighbors invite an elder out for a leisure walk in the beautiful outdoors. Please take this opportunity to share the parks with your elderly friends and family. Do not snap a photo of someone you do not know.

25. Keep it Clean! 10 points
As the saying goes, "Leave the place cleaner than when you found it." Lead by example by picking up trash on a trail or at a park. Bring a bag with you on your next adventure and be sure to take a photo of someone beautifying our PHPRD parks.

26. Swing along 5 points
Capture a photo of someone swinging at Rodgers-Smith Park. Double points for (15 second or less) video, triple points for a slo-mo video (15 seconds or less)

27. Spotlight’s on you! 10 points
Take a selfie holding our Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter Spotlight in one of our parks! Double points if you take your Spotlight on vacation with you and post a pic with it somewhere fun!

28. Meet our Board members!10 points
This esteemed group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month but can be spotted regularly all over town at various public events. Post a pic with a board member, double points for a photo with this year’s board chair, Bobby Glover!

29. Tire Swing 5 points
Don’t get too dizzy that you aren’t able to post a pic on the tire swing at Pleasant Hill Park!

30.We are family10 points
Post a group photo of your crew waving on the footbridge at Shannon Hills Park

31. High-5 a Rec Staff person 10 points
Our awesome Recreation Staff can be found all over town at: the Teen Center, District Office, Senior Center, Community Center, Kidstop, and throughout our parks and facilities at our various activities and events!
