Family Fun Triathlon (8 yrs & up )

Location: PH Education Center, 1 Santa Barbara Rd.

Join Pleasant Hill Recreation for a non-competitive, family, fun fitness triathlon event which incorporates swimming, bicycling and running!

14 & Under: 250-yard swim, 5-mile bike, 2-mile run
15 & Over: 500-yard swim, 10-mile bike, 4-mile run
The longer distance group will start first on race day. Everyone must wear a helmet during the bike portion of the race.

Pre-register by October 16 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Race day check-in begins at 8:00 am, race starts at 9:00 am.

Annual Turkey Trot Trail Run (all ages)

Location: Briones Regional Park: Bear Creek Entrance

This is no ordinary Turkey Trot! Ready for a fun challenge? Experience the tradition of this annual 8.4-mile race in the beautiful hills of Briones Regional Park. Winners take home a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner! Top three finishers in each division receive medals. Divisions include: 13 yrs &under; 14–18; 19–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50+.The course starts and finishes at Bear CreekStaging area and includes trail running and an uphill trek to Briones Peak. This race is not for beginning joggers.Trail race occurs rain or shine.

Pre-registration closes Wednesday,November 12. Pre-registration packets available on race day only. Race day registration begins at 7:30 am. Over 300 fabulous women attended Wine Women & Shoes at the new Pleasant Hill Community Center on a glorious afternoon to support two local causes, Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District and Hospice of the East Bay. Guests enjoyed fine wine, shopping, nibbling on delicious food, meeting hunky Shoe Guys, enjoying a professional fashion show and of course, trying on designer shoes. Fashion. Outstanding New Facility

Pleasant Oaks Park Grand Opening a Big Hit!

Gray skies didn't stop the community from coming out to celebrate on Sunday,
March 2nd for the Grand Opening of Pleasant Oaks Park. Participants
enjoyed a stunning rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by local
middle schooler, Alexa, followed by the official ribbon cutting
with Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce, the ceremonial "first pitch"
and "first soccer ball kick". PHBA and PHMSA were on hand to show their
support and team spirit. A fun day for all!

A special thank you to Steel Smokin' BBQ for donating a portion of their proceeds
to Pleasant Hill Community Foundation to help build a youth playground at Pleasant Oaks Park.

Over 1,500 People Celebrated the New Community Center Grand Opening!

On Sunday, January 26th, Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District welcomed
over 1,500 people to celebrate the grand opening of your new Pleasant Hill
Community Center. Guests toured the grand new facility, watched live
activity demos, visited District and Co-sponsors exhibits, signed up for activities,
sampled delicious refreshments, listened to great tunes,danced and connected
with friends. This event marked the beginning of a new era of bringing the
community together for years to come.
